Summer is Over

It's been an incredibly busy summer.  We have enjoyed visits from family, and frequent trips to the Michigan beaches.  There have been a number of DIY projects, and some home schooling summer studies.  Now we are back into our daily home schooling routine and extra curricular activities.  I've been working hard on reviving my health and energy, and am seeing some improvement.  It is a constant battle but one I have grown accustomed to fighting.

The girls have learned a Christmas song on the guitar and piano.  The boys are progressing wonderfully in their reading.  Everyone is enjoying school this year and are learning how to balance family life and education.  Which is imperative in our home.  We miss dad a lot. He has been very busy with the start of his second year of residency.  But he always finds time for us.  The kids look forward to his day off, next one is Wednesday.  I'm sure he will have some new adventure up his sleeve.  He loves to surprise us.
