A Busy Month

It has been a crazy busy month.  Mostly it was a month of sickness but we did fit in a few fun and educational activities.  We fit in some time for Easter celebrating even though one of my children, Dallen, was sick the entire time.  He was such a good sport and even came outside for the Easter egg hunt for a few moments before returning to his couch and blanket inside.  I got sick twice this month and a few of the other kids got sick as well.  A month for sickness.

Aaron has also been very busy with work and it has been challenging only seeing him for a short time each day.  But it will be over soon and we will have a wonderful vacation with him at the end of this week.  So excited to be spending time with him and enjoying the wonderful sunshine in Florida.  We are heading to Disneyworld at the end of this week.  It should be very adventurous and I'm hoping, crossing my fingers even, that nobody GETS SICK.

This month has just been a month of trials.  My girls lost their hamster, I had a big flare of symptoms (joints, bloating, abdominal and stomach pain, muscle pain and spasms,.... I could go on), bathroom flooded, trouble with our dog, a bill our insurance isn't taking care of, and all the sickness.  After the trials cometh the blessings.  Sometimes I feel the trials are the blessings.  They are humbling, and can bring us closer to our Savior Jesus Christ if we let them.  There is no greater blessing than that.  Every time I face a trial I become a different person, new and stronger when I turn to the Lord.  When I don't, and at times I haven't, I also become a different person.  But one I don't wish to be.  I become an impatient, frustrated, easily angered or annoyed person.  But when I do rely on the Lord I become spiritually strong and independent, free from fear, burdens are made lighter, joy is easily felt because of my knowledge of the things that are eternally significant in my life.  Like being with my children, and enjoying the love of my spouse.  Families are forever, love is everlasting.  There is no greater blessing, and no greater joy.
